From factory, Nissan RB26DETT engine (Skyline GT-R R32–R34 models) came equipped with low impedance fuel injectors. To manage current draw on the ECU’s injector drivers and protect the injectors, Nissan installed an injector resistor pack (also known as a ballast resistor pack) in the engine bay, typically near the right-hand strut tower.

When upgrading to high impedance aftermarket injectors – such as Bosch 1000cc/min or Injector Dynamics ID1000 – the factory resistor pack must be removed and bypassed to ensure proper operation.
