The High Speed Engineering Nissan RB25/26 N1 Oil Pump is a high-quality, performance-focused replacement designed to provide improved reliability and stable oil pressure for RB-series engines. Manufactured to the N1 specification and paired with a 77 mm rotor design, this pump delivers superior flow and strength compared with early OEM oil pumps.
This pump is suitable for all RB26DETT and RB25DET engines (NCVS & NEO) that use the later‑style 77 mm oil pump gear configuration. It is a direct replacement for factory N1 and revised late‑model OE pumps.
Important: This kit does not include a crankshaft drive collar. Early “short snout” RB crankshafts are known for having a small and shallow drive flat, which increases the risk of oil pump failure at higher RPM. For these engines, it is strongly recommended to install an extended Flat Drive Crankshaft Collar during fitting.
Compatibility (77 mm Rotor Pumps):
- Suits all Nissan RB26DETT engines
- Suits all RB25DET engines – NCVS and NEO
- Compatible with N1 pumps and revised OE pumps using a 77 mm outer rotor
- These pumps can be identified by a backing plate with 7 perimeter bolts + 1 centre bolt (8 bolts total)
Early 81 mm Pumps (Not Compatible):
- Early RB pumps use an 81 mm outer rotor
- These feature a 7‑bolt backing plate (including the centre bolt)
- Requires a different pump or internal gear set

Notes
- It is the engine builders responsibility to ensure that all components are clean, undamaged and free running BEFORE and AFTER installation.
- Gears must be assembled initially with clean engine oil or assembly grease. Do NOT run dry!
- With the inner and outer gear sitting in front of you and the nose/seal diameter facing toward you, the outer gear should be laid over the inner gear with the “wave” profile in a clockwise orientation. The 2 wave “points” should be facing in the same direction (see assembly instructions).
- These gears are direct replacements for standard gears. If something doesn’t fit easily, then something isn’t right. You should not have to modify the housing and once installed, the gears should spin freely, with no restriction other than the oil seal.
